in the mood for sweets

For my second batch of projects, I guess I had ice cream and sweet treats on the brain as I went all-in for a sugary sweet suite of cards!

For both card duos, I did a positive and negative version of the cover plate die background. For this first duo, I created extra texture by stamping Shine Like A Diamond in the Red Cosmos Mixed Media Inks onto a gel plate, then transferred the image onto cardstock, then cut out the cover die. I (very carefully) preserved the pattern using some press-n-seal so I could replace it on a card front. Whew, that’s a lot of work!

This duo showcases the Tangled Loops Cover Die. The intertwined loops look just like a doodle I’d make on my notebook while daydreaming during a conference call! Of course, having a sweet treat like the ones from the Summer Swirls stamp set would make a meeting a whole lot better! LOL!

share and inspire someone today!

The second sweet treat duo features the Stacked Diamond Cover Die. I used an ink smooshed background using the Green Fields Mixed Media Inks brayered on a gel plate to create the unique green texture you see.

I thought those diamonds shouldn’t take themselves so seriously, so I whipped up a pile of yummies from the Way Too Sweet set. Sooo cute!

Thank You!
