I have always been creative.
But, for a long time, I didn’t think I was creative enough for this. You know, to be an artist.

For many years, (like 15) I worked with stamping and paper crafting supplies. I was a sample designer for quite a few companies. I blogged, created videos, did online classes. The whole shebang. (To see more about that, you can browse my cardmaking inspiration archive.)
Along the way I discovered my love for mixed media and abstract/intuitive art.
In 2023, I packed up all of my stamps, dies, and inks and started a year of exploration to see what I could really do from a 100% original perspective, and, for the first time, I really fell in love with MY art. It all started during this workshop in Florence, Italy.
The amazing thing is that so many of the techniques I learned and developed over the years of card making translated into my mixed media art perfectly.
I learned some new techniques and art forms, and now I mash them all together into beautiful works of art that I can share with the world – including you!

My art is a constant exploration. The foundation of it all is a quote I penned a few years back when livestreaming on YouTube. I said:
‘Every creative idea starts with “What if?”‘
I start every creative session with a “what if?” in mind and something interesting is bound to happen. With color theory and creative techniques as the foundation, I can choose to go “tried and true”, or push the envelope and really explore the limits of what various mediums and substrates can do together – including digital designs and patterns.
Because of my curious nature, I don’t limit myself to one “kind” of art. I create on canvas and paper, and enjoy photography. I also translate my art to things like silk scarves and 3D objects like ornaments and eggs.
