Are you ready for a new Sketch Starter? As you might know, as a Design Team Member for Altenew, I create monthly inspiration projects that feature two distinctly different projects using the same sketch. I encourage you to give the sketch a try and share your results on social media (tag me @nicolewattcreates).

simple, with a surprise!
This design is choc full of surprises! Not only is there no stamping, but the design is an offset gatefold that I further converted into a gift card holder! Even better, because of the way I arranged the flowers, the card stands on its own without falling over or looking wonky.

Both of today’s cards use the Enjoy the Ride ephemera and 6×6 paper. To soften up the background, I added in a smidge of ink blending – the only ink you’ll find on these cards!

just flip it
For the second take, I simply flipped the sketch on its side. The setup is the same, though,, with the fold now at the left instead of the top. I swapped out for a new strip of patterned paper to decorate the gift card fold, and used Peach Perfect for a little glow in the background.
