Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Anemone Release

Welcome to September and the latest in the wildly popular Craft-a-Flower series! You should be arriving from Keisha Charles’ blog. If not, you can track back to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the beginning, or continue around until you loop back here.

hello, anemone!

This month’s Craft-a-Flower has two blooms and a leaf stem. As usual, it’s pretty easy to put together! I find it very similar in style to the Craft-a-Flower Tulip set.

There’s three ways to get this stamp & die set!

watercolored dies

For my sample, I wanted to show a cool way to use these layering die sets. Instead of using gradient cardstock, I chose to diecut all the pieces in watercolor cardstock and then ink smoosh them using Watercolor Brush Markers.

  4. Beautiful card. I love this gorgeous anemone. I have several Altenew Craft-A-Flower die sets and I love them all. I struggle sometimes for the right cardstock colors, but you’ve inspired me to try using my Watercolor Brush Markers (my second favorite Altenew product!).

  5. The water coloring on this is stunning. I’d love to get a card like this. Quite unique and doesn’t feel like it was a die cut made card. Love this.

  6. Purple is one of my favourite colours & the Anemone is one of my favourite flowers that start blooming as autumn wings its way toward us. I have some light pink & dark pink, almost purple anemones blooming on the east side of our house & they are so pretty.
Your card & video are inspiring & I enjoy watching your creative process Nicole.

  8. I enjoyed your video. I didn’t see it live but it’s great to watch it when I can! I love videos because 1) It’s fun to really “meet” you! I feel like I am in an art class! 2) It’s great to see your techniques especially when it’s different from the skills I have – I’m a beginner. 3) It really does help to see how those layers are put together. So thank you for all the work you did in creating the cards and video.
