AECP: Faux-clipse Thank You Card
Don’t you just love the eclipse technique? How about the faux-clipse?
The eclipse technique is super fun and not too difficult, but I created a riff on the technique, I’m calling a faux-clipse.

It’s coming!
Spring is trying so hard to melt all the snow here in East Nebraska – but, it’s coming! Soon, the grass will be growing and little plants will be pushing up from the ground. Why not add to the anticipation with a lovely, but simple, faceted floral design, courtesy of Concord & 9th!
It’s time to chillax with some coloring!
I took my project over the top today with a combination of Copic and Polychromos pencil coloring. I am not embarassed to say that the elements took me about 90 minutes to color.
BLUF: Necessity is the mother of ingenuity
Today’s project was born from one of those “I wonder if”… scenarios. I really, really, really wanted to have some bold, vibrant florals on vellum, but after stamping, I was not happy with the result.
You can make today’s card in about 5 minutes!
Sometimes being a cardmaker has nothing to do with stamping or sentiments. My card for Festive Friday doesn’t have either!
Do you avoid builder stamps because they just look too difficult?
If there’s one thing Altenew is known for, it’s their Build-a-Flower stamp sets. Of course, as I shared last week, some are more forgiving than others.
What do you get when you mix black foil, gold & silver accents and a fun geometric stencil? Today’s project! LOL!
Are you ready to CASE another card design with me?
Ann and I are back with new CASE files this week. I thought I’d decipher another fun design from Concord & 9th.
Are you ready for a design as fluffy as cotton candy?
This card is a recent favorite, for sure! I love how all of the inking techniques give it such a soft appearance, while the glitter paper panel adds a layer of texture, like sugar coated candies!
Mystified by Altenew’s multi-step floral stamps? Yup – they’re absolutely beautiful, but when you get your first Altenew bloom builder stamp set in your hands, it can be a scary thing!
Are you ready to take glitter paper to the next level? I’ve been having a lot of fun coming up with new ways to add some “wow” to my projects, and I’m really in love with the look I’ve got for you this week.
