full of whimsy

The May release is “full of whimsy” with so many florals all in different styles, to a fantastic geometric, and a full alphabet, you’re sure to find something for you!

from wreath to border

I’m kicking off my projects with a fun way to use the Blossom Wreath set. I just used the outline layer, stamping only half on the edge, then filling in the top and bottom to make a complete border. The leaves under the cutout sentiment are from the recently released Wildflower Doodles. I love how these two sets work so well together!

silvery cistus

This Flowering Cistus layering stamp set can look bold, or soft. I went for more metallics and used the base layer to create prints that I could watercolor over. Strips of 1″ Gold Washi tape add even more bold to the blooms.

lotus & letters

I really love the look of the Inked Lotus stamp set. The sentiments are great too. What’s even better is to pair the set with the Mega Brush Alpha stamp set. I lightly stamped the alphabet letters randomly to create a unique background. Then, popped in a bold YOU instead of using the one from the Lotus set. I brought the whole design together by tearing the lotus stem so the sentiment could go through with the stem extending through the bottom.

copper diamonds

Wrapping up the projects for this release, I used the copper metallic watercolor to create a stunning background with the Shine Like a Diamond Stamp Set. Paired with the large “shine” it doesn’t need much more!

easy sparkle & shine

If you didn’t notice, all of my projects feature some sparkle and shine with the Altenew Metallic Watercolors. I pulled together the five techniques I used so you can see how easy it is to use this great pan set with this new release!
