make a statement
This month’s release is full of fabulous stamps, dies, stencils, embellishments and accessories that will help your designs make a statement!

stencils & sequins
The Patchwork Kite stencil will create beautiful, delicate lines filled with any color you can imagine. Go for bold, or go for subtle, or go for a little bit of both like I did! I paired the stencil with some colored pencil detail along with lots of Satin White sequins to accentuate the lines. Of course, Sentiment Strips 2 will be a staple set, so I had to show off three of the sentiments used in tandem on some vellum.

precious blooms in detail
For my second card, I pulled in the same color scheme, and, again, added in colored pencil detail to really make the blooms pop from the new Precious Blooms Stamp Set. This is a simple one-layer card that really lets the extra detail shine.

piles of presents
Why not keep the color theme going? Piles of Presents is going to be another staple in your stash. I know I’ll be grabbing it again and again for birthdays, holidays and other celebrations that include gifts! (And, shouldn’t all celebrations include gifts?!) I pulled out some more of these yummy sequins – this time the Satin Gold seemed to be the perfect fit!

Love your pencil work. Great idea with stencils and as a finishing tip. Lovely work.
My favorite card is the last one using the pile of presents stamp set. Another great release from Altenew. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
All of your cards are wonderful! The shading on the Kite Stencil card with the coloured pencil really does give it depth. I’ll have to remember to use my pencils with my inks. It’s really something I’ve never thought of, but it certainly adds to it. I’d have to practice a lot to achieve a good blend though. I am loving this release & my wish list is growing at each hop on this blog.
Awesome cards! Great video, too! It’s amazing how colored pencil can really enhance an image- I need to give that a try!

Thank you for showing me how to add the colored pencil to an object. I am fascinated with your technique and have been fairly successful with a past video using lead pencils. All of your cards are great.
Thank you for sharing your video!!! It reminds me of Kathy Racacoosin’s style. But I never knew how she did it. <3<3<3

Thanks for the video full of tips about adding colored pencil! You know I really didn’t care for the patchwork kite stencil until I saw your card. What a difference adding the colored pencil details made. Love the masculine look you achieved. Thanks for sharing!
How another artist thinks about creating is SO helpful to me! I never thought of combining stencils, ink and PENCILS!! You’ve added another idea to my bucket list.

Amazing!! I love your coloring with pencils!!
Great job on your cards!
Interesting grey card! So many possiblities! Thank you!
Beautiful cards! Thanks for the tip of adding colored pencil to other mediums. I have a tendency to just use inks and not add detail. I’ll remember that when I think that something is missing from a card.
Love the blues in all your cards. I love the way you shaded the Precious Blooms.
You are a fabulous teacher. I love the content, presentation and the tips. I never thought of using pencils nor did I know how to add the depth to inked stamping using those pencils. I always go away from your videos with at least on nugget of information if not more. THANKS! I enjoy your work immensely.
I love your cards – such different looks but they are all awesome.
Awesome cards! The Bday Gift would be great for men’s cards. So many things I want in this release! Thanks for all the inspiration!
Such an unusual and striking palette! Love it.
How charming! While everything is lovely, I’m really enjoying the birthday card with the Pile of Presents stamps. Thank you for sharing your lovely creations!
I thought when you added the draw lines around that flower image was really nice. I have never done that before. It sure looks like you hand drew the flower now that you added those lines. I would have never even thought of that. I will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing. I am new to blogging. Tonight is my first night. It is quite fun an informative. I will have to do this more often. I got a lot of extra time of my hands these days to give more things a try. I am new to art new too. So this is very exciting for me. Thanks for putting together this blog. I bet you guys worked so hard on it. It is truly inspiring me. I have made over 109 cards this past week but you have give me much more inspiration to do some more. Maybe I can get another 109 done. I am sending them all over our country to rest homes. If you have any places I can send cards to please let me know. I wanted to actually send some to the nurses and doctors but I wasn’t quite sure how to do that. Do I just pick a hospital and send them to a hospital to get them to the medical staff? I ran across a website that was telling me the addresses that wanted people to send cards to the elderly which is how I got involved in sending out cards to rest homes. But I can’t figure out how to send them to medical staff. Do you know? Thanks a bunch. I hope I win one of these certificates because I want to try some of these products out so bad but can’t really afford to invest right now if you know what I mean.
I love that you incorporated pencil into the stenciling and stamping !
Wow your coloring is phenomenal on these new releases!!. So beautiful.
I hope one day to have mine look this good too.
I love your samples!
Thank you for the colored pencil techniques- I love the lines behind the flowers making it look like you drew the flowers too! Wonderful!
Love what you did with the colored pencils, really brought out detail to the stencil. Interesting video!
Gorgeous! I love the flower card the best!!!
