Happy Fri-yay! In my weekly Thursday live stream (I’m live every Thursday at 4pm US Central time.) we created something totally amazing! It was a new technique for me with heavy body acrylic paints, but you could use any thick colored medium like embossing paste or glaze.

play leads to amazing things!
One of the things we talk about in the Bloom Membership is the idea of play. Play is when you experiment with ideas and practice skills to get better – without the expectation of creating a finished project. This might mean experimenting with your new gel plate or another new tool or product. Or, it might mean practicing a particular technique so you can get better at it.
This project is a result of PLAY! (and I 😍 it!)

There’s no need to do anything more to this project than add a sentiment. You might even want to leave it without one! It’s enough on it’s own! The great thing is that I have a bunch of left over hexagon masks that are covered in this acrylic paint that I can use for another project! A two-for-one is the best bonus!!

Hi Nicole!
I am bummed out that I missed your livestrean! This is such an awesome looking card! I think I could escape real life for a bit while making this! I never would have thought of not keeping the dies even! I haven’t really done any mixed media style projects. This style technique will be great for me! I try to make things symmetrical– but miss! I love this card! So glad I found you over at Brandi’s card summit!
Have an awesome weekend!
Even though being there live is more fun, the great thing about my Live Streams is that the replay is available! I encourage you to give the technique a try and have fun playing and exploring! You can use embossing paste or glazes if you don’t have acrylic paints. I talk about that a little in the video. It really is a “real life escape”!
Great technique. Thanks for sharing!
