My Project

The Technique & Design
This project showcases just how amazing Distress Oxides look on Kraft, when using a stencil. I just love those crisp lines! I also love that the Oxide ink dries super quick! There’s no waiting around forever, or heat setting required.
I didn’t want anything to take away from the Kraft look, so I decided to do the snowflakes in gold, also on Kraft. It helps them to really melt into the design. I did want the sentiment to stand out, so a sharp black was just the ticket.
I struggled with the proper color for the base layer. White wasn’t right. Green was too plain. And, the red just didn’t pop the way I wanted it to. So, why not a high-gloss gold? This is another great design that can be batched up into steps leaving you with plenty of cards ready to send by November!
