Are you ready for another great project idea for your personal card stash? Each week, I’m live on YouTube for Running With Scissors. I love live stream crafting because you get to see how it really is! Mistakes, unplanned difficulties – all unfiltered! Every artist has their moments, and you’ll surely see some when you tune in! If you can’t join me live, you should definitely check out the replay! (Psst! It’s at the end of this post!)

acrylics without the gel plate
Sooo, you have acrylic paints because you have a gel plate. Well, what else can you do with them? TONS!!!
I really love using acrylics as a watercolor type medium because you can do things that you CAN’T do with watercolors! I find it much easier to create looks in complementary color palettes when I use acrylics because it’s easier to control how they blend – or don’t!
Once an acrylic is dry on a piece of paper, it’s permanent. That means that you can add a color on top and it won’t reactivate the dry paint – allowing contrasting colors to layer on top of, or sit right next to each other without turning into a muddy mess.
To see what I mean, take a look at these stills, and be sure to watch the live replay below!
