become an educator

Have you heard of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (or AECP)? I started this program in February 2019 as a way to familiarize myself with Altenew products and to learn and refine my crafting skills. I worked through all of the classes in about 6 months, working at my own pace, to finally become a Certified Educator.

Since becoming an Educator, I’ve partipated in these hops, have been asked to be a Guest Designer (and now a Design Team Member), and even created my own Altenew Academy class – Mission: Inspiration.

There are many reasons for applying to the AECP program. Perhaps you’re just looking to expand your skills and knowledge, or maybe you want to do local classes, sponsored by Altenew. Whatever your reason might be, I encourage you to explore the opportunity and see if it’s right for you!

sky for miles

I love that stencils can provide depth and detail in just a single layer. My project for the hop really showcases how much movement and depth you can create with a stencil and with pencil shading on a stamped image.

Can we talk about that sky for a minute? Did you get the Cloud Scene stencil a few months ago, only to push it to the back of your stencil stash because you just don’t know how to use it? Well, now’s the time to dust it off and give it a try. There’s no reason to be scared of cloud stencils! They’re so easy to use!

Start from the bottom, using one side of the stencil and blend lightly. Then, rotate the stencil 90-degrees, move it up a bit and blend some more. Continue on until the panel is complete. And, voila! A sky full of clouds!

Thank You!

Time is precious and I’m truly grateful that you chose to spend a few minutes of your day here!
I would love to connect with you on Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest where we have the opportunity to share and interact even more!
