lots of pink
Of course, you can create these lovely layering blooms using the Altenew Gradient cardstock (I’ll use that in my video), but you can also create beautiful variegated designs by cutting up a watercolor panel! I used the Tropical Fiesta watercolor brush markers to make a wash with lights and darks on some watercolor cardstock, then I took the panel to the dies and cut it up. These blooms were so beautiful that the project didn’t need much other than a soft background glow (with the new Altenew Blending Tool) and some more dies (Tall Alpha) for a simple sentiment.

layering the tulip dies
You might take a look at the die set and think “wow, that looks tough!”, well, I thought I’d do a video to show you how easy it is to put the pieces together. Each flower is only THREE layers, and the leaves are only TWO! You can do it! (and you’ll love the oohs and aahs you get when someone gets your card!)

This is a beautiful card! Love the background you created for it! Love the video with the details for creating each flower and leaf!
Your card is so stunning! I love how you shaded a circle area for the background. It really brings the flowers in. The tulips are a gorgeous pink! I really enjoyed your ideas! Thanks for sharing.

Soooo pretty! Loving this beautiful tulip die set!
Thanks for the great tutorial. Your tulips are beautiful!
I love that you brought the flower color to your background. Great way to pull it together. Awesome!
WOW Gorgeous! I love the punk glow!
Very pretty card. Love the pink. TFS
You are right that’s definitely lots of pink. Such a classic color for tulips. I love the softness of your background makes for a clean and simple easy looking card so much you can do with that.
Adore the multi layered tulip design!! Pretty green color too!
I love the way the tulips blend with your background, very pretty. TY
You are right Nicole, just a soft wash in the background is all you need. I love the idea of using watercolours to create the tulips from as I don’t actually have three shades of a colour family in my paper stock. This is soft & so appealing. Thanks for the video showing the papers.
Love that pink tulip. Great video too.
Thanks for the demonstration. Some of those parts look really fiddley, but the end result is wonderful.
It’s absolutely beautiful the way this card came together.
Your pink tulips are gorgeous. Thanks for the video.
So very pretty!
Pretty card, love the happy pink color!
Lovely card and great video, Nicole. I really like the appearance of the watercoloured die-cuts.
Absolutely beautiful! As usual.
Gorgeous tulips! Thanks for the video–that will definitely help crafters put the pieces in the right place.
I LOVE that pink glow background and gorgeous pink tulips!
I really like that watercolor look on the flowers and that background just seems to make the card glow! Beautiful!
Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. Keeps us from moaning about all those pieces, LOL!
Very pretty!

Hi. I absolutely love anything flowers and this tulip is gorgeous. I’m retired now so sadly I will admire from afar. Such beautiful inspiration
Absolutely LOVE your hand on the leaves with the watercolor pens! They are my favorite stand out item so far!
This is such an excellent card; thanks for the tutorial
You’re right — three and two layers — not so hard. It is the choice of colors for the layers that is critical.
So pretty! You can never have too much pink!
Gorgeous color! So pretty!
Beautiful card!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing
Matching the background to the flowers is a nice idea. So soft…
Such a fabulous background for your pretty tulips!
Love the tone on tone background and flowers. The pink just makes everything happy.
I love the shades of pink you’ve used in this card. Arranging them on a card base that is also blended with pink is such an unexpected choice, but it makes the flowers almost seem to glow! So beautiful!
Enjoyed watching your step by step video. Makes construction really easy seeing each flower so clearly explained. Love the card too!
So pretty! I am really loving these gorgeous tulip dies! I love the colors you used on your awesome card!

Maria.
Pretty in pink tulips! Nicole you did a wonderful job/art with the tulip craft a flower and thanks for the video.
Beautiful card! Love the colors…
Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Your card has such a strong image on it, love the colors and the blending, and of course the beautiful tulip.
Love these tulip dies!
Beautiful card and I really enjoyed the video. Great tips!
Gorgeous. Amazing way to craft making gorgeous projects using what you have. I have to see something to know if it’s ok so for me it’s easier to start with white and use markers etc to change the layers rather than cutting a BUNCH of different pieces to try it out. It’s hard for me to chose colors etc. You done an amazing job.
Very pretty card! The video was a great addition.
Your card is absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you for the video showing how easily the “parts” of the tulip go together.
This card is gorgeous! I love how the pinks pop because of the way you blended the colors.
Enjoyed the helpful video. Ending with a very nice card
Lovely pink tulip card! Love your arrangement and shaded colors.
Thank you, Nichole, for the video. Big help for this visual learner! I really have loved the cards made with this tulip die set. I realize now, though, it is not advisable for someone developing Parkinson’s
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!!! Your card is beautiful, and I appreciated the video instructions.
Your videos are so well done. Thanks for the tip about putting dies on the layout. Seems so obvious now; but didn’t think of it until you said it in your video. Glad I bought the new blending brush, as I love the soft results. Great job as usual and look forward to your next video.
WOWza! Wonderful CAF release and the tulip is perfect! Great addition to the collection! Gorgeous card(s)!
Beautiful card. Amazing how the flowers
pop off the matching shade in the
background. thanks for sharing
You are so right… the beauty of these flowers do command a diminished background… and the glow is perfect! Love this card so much. Looks so stunning yet cas!
