Ink drips can add the perfect dramatic touch to any project! As a bonus, you can use the technique in combination with other texture-creating techniques to really call attention and make a project absolutely an irresistible feast for the eyes!

supplies for watercolor ink dripping
You don’t need much to achieve great results. In fact, you don’t need anything special! Of course, if you need to do some shopping, I always have supplies linked below and at the end of the post. - Watercolor Brush Markers (or pan set and brushes)
- Round brush & Water
- Watercolor card (optionally embossed – heat, folder or paste)
- Heat Tool (optional)

steps to create watercolor ink drips
- Prepare watercolors for use
- Hold the watercolor card with one hand, angling it so thepaint will drip down the card. Place the bottom edge of thecard on paper towels to catch the drips.
- Use clean water and a brush, apply enough water across the top to make the water drip down the panel. Fully load a watercolor brush (or use watercolor brush markers) and apply watercolor across the top in the water, coaxing the ink to drip as necessary.
