will it work? hot foil on acrylic backgrounds…
TL;DR – yes, yes it works!
I’m just not great about building up the suspense, and besides, as you can see you CAN hot foil over an acrylic panel. The results are unique and more distressed than what you would achieve with a piece of plain, smooth cardstock.
You see, the acrylic on the panel will warm up when you put it on your hot foil machine and the foil will stick to the raised areas. the results, a gorgeous and unique look with pattern, and grunge!
If you’re going to use an entire panel, the key is to not upstage it. Add simple, neutral elements so the foiled piece can really shine!

master sheets make it quick
