Are scraps taking over your workspace?
I was so excited to get to this week’s Festive Friday challenge! And, no, it’s not because I have some crazy love for buttons…. In fact, my project doesn’t use buttons at all. BUT, it does use a LOT of scraps! I’m not talking about the plain cardstock scraps left from cutting or diecutting. Those of useable size go back with the rest of the cardstock sheets. I’m talking about the idea rejects, the leftover diecuts or negative images, the extra, beautifully colored or stamped pieces, background sheets, etc. I save almost all of that stuff. (Unless it’s really just a hot mess). I figure, I worked hard to create it, I might just use it some day… Well, that day was today!

Here’s my take
I did two projects, both using up scraps! Some other elements I used were silver, green, stitching, wood, and circles. The great thing about grabbing items from the scrap bin is that so much of the work is already done! I just had to find some items that looked good together and assemble! It was so easy, I made two cards

Wonderful cards using scraps. I like the stitching on the second one. I feel great when I am able to use up my scraps as they tend to overtake my space.
