Calling all e-cutter fans!
The first exciting thing is that I’ve got a new product in my store – it’s SVG cut files – designed for cardmakers, but perfect for any paper crafter! This inaugural offering is six Halloween-themed designs that will make up some dramatic, but easy projects for your Halloween needs.
They come together as a zipped file available for immediate download. Once downloaded, you can use them with your favorite e-cutting system (Cricut, Silhouette, Scan-n-Cut, etc.).

witch over the moon
Let’s take a look at my first project with these great overlays! Can you have Halloween without a witch? The overlay is just our long-nosed friend on her broom, but the background brings in a bright, glowy moon! I’m using glossy black cardstock for all the overlays to bring in an extra-dramatic contrast to the chalky Oxide blends.

Halloween Distress Oxide Blend #1
Along with the overlays, I’m doing a series of six Distress Oxide blends that coordinate with the overlays, and are just perfect for other Halloween projects. Today’s blend is a “full moon” blend that works great with the witch overlay. I used Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Seedless Preserves. You can pin this image to remember the combo for later!

If you are new to ink blending, this combination is perfect for you. The three colors blend together very easily, and since the design is full, bright, saturated colors there’s no worry of getting harsh lines that can’t be blended together. I’ve got a step-by-step on blending this panel in an all new Crafter’s Toolbox video!
