a new gel plate addiction

I’m pretty sure that if you came over any time this weekend, you’ll find me in my studio making more of these gel plate prints with embossing folders. I mean, we had sooooo much fun exploring this concept at Thursday’s live stream. This is just one of many panels I created ahead of time. During our time together we explored a whole bunch of other ideas and came up with some really cool stuff!

This particular print is actually on white paper, though you would never know it! There’s an initial layer of aqua acrylic paint, then a second layer of a fun purple shade that was applied after I pulled the image using Altenew’s Tulips 3D embossing folder.

The bonus is that in most instances, you can create a bonus panel from the paint that remains on the embossing folder for an embossed and painted look.
