bold & gold
When most people look at the sketch above, they automatically assume that the smaller rectangle is stacked on top of the larger rectangle, and that the strip is stacked on top of everything else. But what if it isn’t? That was the approach I took with this first design. In this case, the gorgeous gold layer created from the Beautiful Bergenia 3D Embossing Folder is inset, with a black frame popped up around it. It’s kind of like a shadowbox.

subdued & spotlight
On the flip side, we can stack the layers as expected, but create a spotlight look by coloring only the popped up center layer, and matching it up with the same Bergenia Builder image in the background.

I love both cards. I think the popped up card is my favorite.
Both of those cards were awe inspiring. I feel like I need to go to my craft room and CASE! I couldn’t seem to get it to show on You tube so couldn’t give you a thumbs up. 🙁
Great video on how to flip and mask. I like the color addition ideas. Both look so great, but I think the gold one wins out for me.
