the celebration collection

This collaboration brings together all the best of Altenew and Pinkfresh — great florals with fantastic, modern aesthetic great for both cardmakers and scrapbookers.

simply beautiful

This card is truly something to celebrate! Doesn’t it look like it took a long time? Well, it just took a few minutes because the background and the floral piece are both from the 6×6 Celebrate Paper Pack! I used the Celebrate Today die to diecut the floral from the rest of the square, then added some Antique Gold metallic thread behind before popping it up with adhesive foam. I added in a quick sentiment from the Celebrate Today stamp set and some of the Antique Gold sequins.

oversized + thankful

For this second card, I selected a few more pieces from the 6×6 paper pack. I love the background images with the loose painted bits. It reminds me of a gel plate look. I paired that with this large bloom which I diecut and popped up on some adhesive foam. The card didn’t need much more, so I added in the Thankful die that coordinates with the Celebrate Us stamp set. Some shiny Antique Gold sequins added just the right finishing touch.

totally worth celebrating

For my final card, you might be thinking the floral piece was part of the ephemera pack, but it’s not! I used yet another of the 6×6 papers and cut the floral image in half, then fussy cut around the image leaving a generous border. I added some more Antique Gold Thread, and ink blending and ink spatter on the card base to soften the look.

Thank You!

  13. All the cards are really beautiful. The one that caught my eye was the card with the flower that covers most of it. Well done. I am trying my hand at cards. How do you know that this card you will use water colors, that card ink blending. here put a nest of threads? I feel like a struggle a lot on utilizing the stamp well and knowing when to color in the image or ink blend or stamp it out in color etc.
