hello, daisy!

This month’s Craft-a-Flower has TWO different daisies and leaves. There’s so many ways that you can use these dies. I’m going to show you THREE!

There is also a bundle with two of the gradient cardstock packs – Green Meadows and Summer Afternoon. Of course, they’re the perfect compliment to this die set!

basic plus a blend

I wanted to show of the basic look of the diecuts for this first project. The CAF Bundle will get you 90% of the way there! You’d just need to blend a background with the coordinating Summer Afternoon inks, the Warm & Cozy inks and the Large Blending Brush. Then add a sentiment. I used the Mega Label Love set.

Save your diecuts! I layered mine together and cut around the edges to make these lovely daisy outlines. Then, I adhered them randomly to the card base and snipped off the excess. It was a total 2-for-1 with the first card. I used the same colors for a circular blend, and added in the Waterbrush Hello die cut for a sentiment.

coffee? what the what?

It’s ok. You can do a double take on this one. I promise, though, that this card DOES belong in this hop! I’m not one to “see outside the box” with stamps dies, punches, etc… but, guess what I saw with those daisy centers? COFFEE BEANS!!!! Skip the flowers totally and make yourself a fun coffee themed card.

  3. Oh my gosh! I love all three cards. The ink blended backgrounds really set off the daisies. I can’t decide which I like best – the flowers or the outlines. I will definitely use that trick – just love it. The coffee beans are a stoke of artistic brilliance. LOVE that card!

  4. Great ideas for using this new die set. Love the card you made with the left over die cuts! Very clever and also the coffee beans you made with the flower centers. You get the creativity prize.

  11. Great set and to go with your ways to get the most out of the die. I love the coffee stain card and use of the centers as the sweet beans. Such a creative mind. Great cards.

  12. I never would have thought that coffee beans could come from flower centers! What a unique idea! 🙂 I am no longer a coffee drinker but the idea is great and since so many folks are coffee fans, you get more bang for your daisy buck! I really like your daisy cards, such vibrancy! Enjoyed your post! Crafty hugs!
