who are in nursing homes or shelters. We want these important people to feel loved, celebrated, and honored — and that’s where the annual Card Drive comes in!

Maybe you have a little bit of extra time in the next few weeks to create a few Mother’s or Father’s Day cards to send in for the drive. It doesn’t take much! If you need some supplies, Altenew is donating 20% of the proceeds from the following products to the Food Bank of Central New York to support seniors in need. For details on the drive, click here.

mix & match

For my inspiration project, I thought I’d go for something a little different by mixing and matching a few products together. I’d been looking for a reason to use the Misty Meadows washi tape from my stash, and I wanted to see how I could pair it with a new favorite – Wild Flora. I wanted to pull the gold from the washi all the way through, so I recycled the watercolor embossing technique I used back in January, and then I went for more gold with the Mega Love die. There’s certainly a lot going on, but it works!

  5. The washi is beautiful. I love the size of your sentiments, it is a good reminder than some older people need large writing on their cards!

  6. Loving that washi tape! It makes a fantastic background. I never knew you could emboss with water. Does that only work with pigment ink? Your card is lovely.
